Things I Can't Say OutLoudThere are days I press my words so tightly into the palms of my hands you can read them even when I try to hide them. Their edges are so sharp they could draw blood. That would explain the scars on my fingers.Things I Can't Say OutLoud
My mother always told me to never bite off more than I could chew, to swallow, but some phrases are like swallowing barbed wire, or tangles of hair. You know how hair makes me gag, how my throat is already scarred from all those times I lost my voice years before. Word after word tumbles and falls and crashes from my lips and always burns the tip of my tongue.
I always have fuzzy tongue, or it bleed
